A Gantry crane is one of many cranes that are attached to a hoist trolley and lift an object by a hoist that moves horizontally with a rail or pair of rails attached under the bean. Other equivalent cranes are bridge cranes and overhead cranes. The gantry crane consists of two upright members connected by an I-beam that acts as a trolley bridge.
